Local governors are appointed to office by The Directors. This is done through the scheme of delegation to the Local Governing Body.

Hambridge Primary School Local Governing Body

The Trustees of Preston Primary Academy Trust have delegated the running of Hambridge Primary School to the local governing body with specific reference to the following duties:

Monitoring of the Academy’s local School Evaluation Form (SEF) and School Development Plan (SDP)
To ensure that Child Protection and Safeguarding arrangements are in place.
To ensure that annual reports are sent to the Safeguarding Board using the recognised procedure.
Monitoring of the curriculum and educational standards.
Undertaking the Head teacher Performance Management by designated governors taking into account the Leadership Group’s responsibilities.
Completing the register of business interests at LGB level and put in place a procedure to deal with any conflicts of interest and connected party transactions.
Ensure there is a training programme for governors to access.
