All pupils in KS2 get the opportunity to go swimming with their class each year. They swim at Huish Leisure Centre in Langport and are taught by either a swim instructor at Huish Leisure, or a member of school staff using ASA Swimming Planning. All members of staff who teach swimming have received appropriate training.

Schools are required to report how many of their cohort in Year 6 managed three core swimming skills:

1) Swim 25 metres unassisted

2) Swim with a range of strokes

3) Perform safe self rescue

In 2025,  75% of our pupils managed to achieve all three skills.
