Religion and Worldviews at Hambridge Community Primary School
We firmly believe that at Hambridge Primary School that is vital that pupils learn from and about religious and non-religious views of the world, so that they can understand the world around them, becoming successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.
At Hambridge in KS1 the religions studied are Christianity and Judaism. This is the same in KS2 with the addition of Islam. By focusing on these religions, it allows pupils to gain depth in their understanding and compare similarities and differences between these religions.
As pupils at Hambridge are curious, all lessons are enquiry-led. Lessons are taught on a weekly basis with key celebrations are explored as a whole school. Pupils understand that Religion and Worldviews is about knowing, understanding and believing.
